Connected Speech is a paediatric speech therapy practice based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. Founded by Jodi Zimmerman, the practice specialises in children from birth through school age, with a particular focus on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).

Therapy does not stop when the session ends. Connected Speech brings consistent, goal-driven support into homes, schools, and every environment where children live and grow. Parents are partners in therapy — not bystanders.

Sessions are billed through medical aid. Available Monday to Thursday.

## Services

- **Language Delay Therapy** — Early intervention for children not meeting language milestones. We identify what is holding them back and build the specific skills they need to communicate, connect, and thrive at school.
- **Stuttering Therapy** — Fluency support for young children who stutter. We work with children and families to build confidence and the tools to communicate without fear.
- **Feeding Difficulties Therapy** — Support for children with texture aversions, swallowing difficulties, or oral motor challenges, so that mealtimes become easier for everyone.
- **AAC and Autism Communication Therapy** — Augmentative and Alternative Communication support using Makaton, PROMPT, picture-based systems, and high-tech devices for children on the autism spectrum and those with complex communication needs.
